"This race definitely wasn't the best one for me.
20 seconds before the swim started, my goggles snapped as I was tightening them, which led to a horrible swim time. I also fell in the sand while getting out too. I think that the swim course was a well thought course, and good for first timers.
I had the fastest T1 in my A.G. and also the fastest bike in my A.G. The course well a bit windy and not too many hills.
The run was my suffering part as the temperatures had everyone going slower than usual. Walked a bit (okay, so it was a lot) more than I had intended, but still a nice course, and the only "hill" was the bridge we went over.
I was also saddened to hear about Kim Schmidt, 43, from Oshkosh, died during the swim. It was her first tri and it is never good to lose someone like that."
